Yes, those waffles are green. And yes, they are amazing.
Plus, there's home made raspberry syrup that is out of this world. It was so hard not to just lick the pan clean. It brings a bright tartness to the green tea flavor of the waffles here. And the vibrant colors totally perked up my morning, the coffee helps too.
You are either completely on board with this, or your cursor is slowly moving towards that red "x" at the top of the screen. Matcha has such a lovely green tea flavor, and isn't over powering here in any way. If you like green tea, then you are going to love this. The waffles are light and fluffy thanks to the beaten egg whites in the batter. It is worth the extra step in my opinion. You can always take your favorite waffle recipe, and add the matcha powder to the dry ingredients.
These are simply too good not to try.
